Description:
This was my second observation of the new supernova SN 1999em, which is
located in the face-on spiral galaxy NGC 1637 in Eridanus. SN 1999em is
15".4 west and 17".0 south of the nucleus of its host galaxy. There is
a right triangle of faint field stars on the eastern side of the nucleus.
The supernova appeared to be slightly more dim than on the 11/5/99 UT.
