Description:
A pair of multiple star systems within an open cluster. 2819 is a double and 2816 
a triple. Both barely split at 32x, but easily split at 48x. In both systems, the 
brightest star is yellow and the others are blue. Separation of 2819, 16”; 2816, 
18” and 10”. PA 2819:120d, 2816: the wider pair 200d, the closer 50d.

IC 1396 is an ameoba shaped cluster centered on these systems. One “pseudopod” 
extends to the N, one to the SW and one to the NE.Est 50-60 stars, most about 
mag 8-9. NO nebulosity visible, even with the filter.
