Description:
These four galaxies are all located north from the 5 mag star 53 Leonis.
Contrary to my expectations M 95 and M 96 appear paler than the two other.
Especially M 95 was a difficult object. At 21x it could only be guessed with
averted vision and with 59x it was still faint. Only a little clearer appeared
M 96 as a roundish patch.
Therefore my surprise was the greater as I spotted M 105. It was quite easy to
see and next to it I glimpsed another patch of similar brightness. Later I
identified it as NGC 3384. This last galaxy wasn't in my planning at all.
