Description:
NGC 4660 lies to the immediate south of M60 and to the southeast of
M90. This Herschel 400 elliptical galaxy has a rather high surface
brightness (12.8) and was thus surprisingly bright through the eyepiece.
NGC 4660 was round, had a bright inner region and a fainter outer halo,
and formed a triangle with two faint field stars that are located to
the south and northeast.
