Barbara Wilson's Globular Cluster Observations...

Palomar 5 found using MegaStar Chart. Large low surface brightness,
slight central brightening, center is circular and south of the one
star that I see in the globular. According to Brian Skiff's chart
the brightest stars are 15.0 mag, horizontal branch magnitude 17.4.
Discovered by: Wilson. Distance: 21.8 kpc.
[Just 30' of 4 Ser, and just 2o SSW of glorious globular M5! -Ed.]
