Description:
Elliptical galaxy, brightest member of the Abell 779 galaxy cluster some
300 million light years away in the constellation Lynx.
This galaxy was seen, with difficulty, at all powers as a small, round patch
of faintish light brightning considerably towards the center. None of the other
galaxies in this cluster were seen of course with my 8" scope.
