Success tonight at finding this! It appeared as the faintest of smudges, confirmed by the fact that as I moved the scope, the smudge stayed fixed in relation to stars in the same FOV. I tried both low and mid power, and there wasn’t much difference between the 2. It was more apparent with averted vision, but little if any details could be made out.
