Instrument: TV-102 (102mm f/8.6 APO refractor)
Magnification: 22x, 30x, 60x
Filter(s): none
Object(s): NGC 663
Category: Open cluster.
Class:
Constellation: Cas
Data: mag 7.1 size 16'
Position: RA : DEC :
Description:
It lies in the same FOV (22x) as the M103. Another dimmer OC popped up at 30x
(more later). Counted at 20 stars at 60x. The sky background of the OC looked
gray while outside the cluster is black! The dimmer OC I saw (not on my chart)
turned out to be a 5' NGC 654. Curiously, it is listed at mag 6.5, supposedly
brighter than NGC 663!
