Description:
117x - Galaxy is near edge-on showing dense dust lanes. The halo fades out
toward the ansi. The core shows quite well with the dust lane to the north side
of the core resulting in the core being much brighter to the south of the dust
lane. The first impression is that the galaxy is oriented N-S, but that is
seeing the core's width intepreted as length. Concentrated study reveals that
the ansi are realy lying E-W and are quite difficult due to their low surface
brightness. This is an interesting object that rquires some intense work to
draw out the fine detail.
