A thin spindle oriented along a line from 3:30 to 9:30. Three dominant stars, one near the edge of FOV at 2:30, another just below center, the third slightly above a line joining the other two about 1/3 the way from the near center star.
The galaxyis slightly less thean 1/2 FOV in length. The east end begins in the
near proximity of the third star. The core is slightly brighter than the halo with a faint star above the center of the core. The halo fades away at each end of the spindle, but there is definate clumping of the dust lane all along the brighter areas. (Eric Honeycutt (icplanetaries) confirmed this description)
