Constellation: Sgr
Data: mag 6.9 size 11.2'
Position: RA 18h:24.5m DEC -24°:52'
Description:
Very nice globular cluster, bright and also very dense. At 40x it
shows grainy texture, so I thought that I will see some individual
stars at 100x. I didn't, but at that magnification it looks like it
can be done with only few milimeters larger aperture. Field of view
is not rich for the center of the Milky Way at all, there are two
9th-10th magnitude stars. Sketch is available at the mentioned URL.
