Position: RA 17h:23.6m DEC -17°:49'
Description:
Globular cluster near M 9, looking just like smaller version of it.
It has briht core, and it doesn't fade very fastly. At 40x
showed no evidence of grainy texture, but on 100x it begins to
reveal it. It would be interesting to see if a little bit larger
scope could show individual stars (6" or 8"). The field of view is
similar to M 9's, but with three 10-magnitude stars. Sketch is
available at mentioned URL.
