Description:
117X - Galaxy has very faint surface brightness and low contrast with the
bright sky glow. It is almost undetected with direct vision, but easy with
averted vision and slow panning. The core appears to be 2 parallel strips of
light, divided by the dark lane. There is a faint star in the west edge of the
core. The surrounding area is rich in faint stars.
