Description:
The verification that I'd caught this one happened in an amazing way. From my
printed starchart it was evident that the galaxy lies around the the northeastern
star of an acute triangle of 7 mag stars.
I observed the triangle and noted a faint small haze where I expected it. But I
still saw a star immediately southeast to the haze and thought this one to be the
northeastern 7 mag star of the triangle. That was a surprise for me.
At home I realized that it wasn't a 7 mag star but a 10 mag star I saw. And its
position fit exactly to the starchart position.
