Description:
At 101x (20mm Orion Ultrascopic, 30.7' true field), this galaxy appeared
barely brighter than the sky. It is elongated WNW/ESE, oval in shape,
perhaps 2'x1.5'. A faint, 13th magnitude star lies 1' NE of the galaxy.
NGC1003 is on the Herschel II list.
