Category: Multiple star.
Class:
Constellation: UMi
Data: mag 2, 9 size
Position: RA 02:31 DEC 89:15
Description:
Easily split at low power. The primary is a brilliant yellowish white, while the fainter companion was blue. I measured the separation at 16.9”, but did not attempt a PA measurement this close to the pole.

I was surprised at the number of stars in the FOV. The secondary, for example, points to a nice right triangular asterism of faint stars, perhaps about mag 9.
