Description:
Somewhat to my suprise I was able to detect the fairly low surface brightness
(13.7 magnitudes per square arc minute), edge-on spiral galaxy NGC 891 as a 
small and dim streak using my Orion ShortTube 80 achromat at 21x (19mm Panoptic)
and 44x (9mm Nagler type 6) under the very dark and transparent skies of the
2002 Black Forest Star Party at Cherry Springs State Park in Potter County, 
Pennsylvania. An image of this object is available at
