Description:
At 50x (40mm Optiluxe, 1.2d TFOV) Collinder 367 is a large group about 50' in
size. Approximatelyn 80 stars in a variety of magnitudes are scattered over
this somewhat arbitrary area. The cluster is all but indistinguishable from
the field. The NE quadrant contains most of the brither stars. Sources agree
on the 37' size. I was either looking at too wide an area or misjudged the
diameter. The star count is apparently off as well, perhaps by 2x or more.
This cluster is located about 1 degree WNW of M8.
