Description:
At 100x (20mm Ultrascopic, 31' TFOV), Berkeley 6 was tiny, less than 1' in
size. 1 star visible with direct vision on a faint surrounding haze. Averted
vision reveals 4 or 5 stars within the haze. Located about 2' SW of a bright
field star. Visible in same 1.2d field (40mm Optiluxe, 51x) with NGC663. The
cluster was suspected at 51x. (A later, close-up inspection of a MegaStar5
chart along with the cataloged diameter of 5' seems to indicate that a few
surrounding stars may be part of the cluster.)
