Description:
A beautiful star cluster with literally hundreds of stars filling the field
of view. I noted what seemed to be a faint glow in the southwest portion of
the cluster. I tried the OIII filter to see if it would reveal any more
detail. While it dimmed the cluster significantly, I was shocked to see a
mini ring nebula pop clearly into view. It looked like a dimmer and
smaller version of M57. At 118x, I thought I could see a central star, but
it could have been a superimposed star from the cluster. This was a
fun surprise!! The mini ring stole the show!!
