Description:
120X-NGC1535 is a very small round, blue-green disc with a central star. There
is an annular ring about 1/2 the size of the overall disc.
381X-NGC1535 appears as a blue-green disc with a brighter blue annular ring.
The ring is about 0.4:1 ratio with the overall disc. The ring appears a very
little brighter at 1:00 and 4:00 O'clock. The whole appears round and the edges
of the outer halo appears soft, but reasonably well defined. The central star
is 12.3v and there is a ~=15v star at 1:00 O-clock,superimposed on the halo at
approximately 0.8R. The central hole is a little brighter than the halo which
is evenly bright. This object strongly resembles NGC3242, the Ghost of Jupiter,
excep the annular ring is round where as NGC3242's ring is elliptical. IT also
remonds me of NGC2392, the Eskimo Nebula.
(It appears much the same in P.Faucher's 61CM; f:4.5 DOB. at 457X.)
