Description:
At first, I thought this would be hard to find because it is located in
a barren part of the sky with no easy hop from nearby stars, but I found
it easily by hitting the spot I expected the cluster to be with the telrad,
and then scanning the immediate area with my 10x50 finder scope. It was easily recognized as a glow in the finder scope and was an unbelievable sight at
the eyepiece. It was bright with all but the core resolved at 60x. I
quickly switched to a 170x wide-angle eyepiece and was blown away by the
view. The cluster was completely resolved to the core without losing
much brightness. The view at 170x was large and a real treat with what
looked like thousands of tiny resolved pinpoints of light. I tried a 260x
wide-angle eyepiece, but was not able to resolve the cluster with that
 much power on this night
