Description:
254X-NGC5970 appears as a fuzzy football shaped oval halo with a bright core
that looks like an unfocused Saturn. The halo is fairly bright, evenly bright
and sharp edged except for a little fuzziness at the ends. The core is
considerably brighter than the halo with about 1:5 elongation. The center of
the core is brighter, roundish with weak anse and a tiny central sparkle.
There is a bright star N-W and a fainter one between the brighter star and the
galaxy.

314X-NGC5970's central core is round and has a slightly brighter, non stellar
nucleus. The anse of the core appears granular, not evenly bright. There are
relatively few background stars near NGC5970.
