Description:
I can see the Christmas tree cluster like a triangle. I count 36 stars from 8 to 11 magnitude. At his base (north), lies 15-Monoceros. With 102x this blue star has a 8.0 companion at 3´´.
Without any filter, I can see some nebulosity surrounding 15-Mon. At the top of the triangle (south) I see STF 950 (102X) an other one binary system white and blue, mag 7.2-9.5 at 13´´. Some nebulosity is around this zone , but I can´t see the famous dark Cone nebula.
About 3´ to southeast of 15-Mon, I can split STF 952, mag. 9.7-10.5 at 14´´, and 9´to southwest of 15.Monb an other blue double star, STF 951, mag. 8.4-10.9 at 22´´.
Finally 30´away the apex of the cluster, bright the fantastic STF 953, orange and white, mag. 6.57-7.05 at 7´´.
