Description:
With the focal reducer of and the eyepiece of 40 mm (32 x) an extensive cluster is observed, I can count 100 stars, cleared, with alignments in cross form with its vanes in N-S, E-W direction; presided in the center by a red star, and something towards the Northeast another star orange. Towards the edge of the field, I observe 12 CMa as a blue star shining of 7ª magnitude. This star does not belong to the cluster. In the South end of the field appears another red star of 7ª magnitude (HD 49105). With eyepiece of 25mm (51x) the cluster loses the cross form, and towards the Northwest, I can see a binary system (HD 49024) of 8ª and 9ª magnitude. A little more towards the north of this one last pair, appears other more closed of 10ª and 11ª magnitude
