Description:
After observing NGC 3607, I move the telescope towards the second galactic
group of Leo, to the south of the star 52 Leonis (5.5 mag.). With my 20mm
Plössl (45x), I could see M105, and to its east a second fuzzy glow, the galaxy
NGC 3384 (magnitude 9.9). With 72x (12.5mm Plössl), the background gets darker
and the image is better. The two galaxies have a round shape, with bright
centres. I estimate the separatiion between the galaxies to be about 10'. A
very interesting galactic pair for small telescopes.
