Data: mag 10.4 size 2'
Position: RA 10:47 DEC +13:59
Description:
This is the faintest galaxy I've ever seen with my 60mm (2.4") refractor.
Helped by a Cartes du Ciel chart, I found its position 20' south-east form the
star 52 Leo. The galaxy is invisible at 45x (20mm Plössl), but I could detect
it with the 12.5mm Plössl (72x) using averted vision, only a few seconds per
minute of observation. Very difficult but exciting galaxy, at the limit of this
small telescope.
