         DEC: (-)03:12:27

120X- Barely detected with direct vision as a diffuse streak oriented E-W.

220X- NGC5506 appears as an elongated, diffuse edge, uniformly illuminated
object. The overall impression is a small bannana shape with the concavity to
the South. No spiral structure is detectable. The only other DSO in the FOV is
NGC5507 located 3.8 arcminutes to the N.N.E.

120X- Requires averted vision to locate as a featurless diffuse small oval.

220X- NGC5507 is detectable with direct vision as an very faint soft oval
object with a slightly brighter round core. Averted vision
enhances the halo a little, The only other DSO in the FOV is NGC5506.
