NGC5426' Galaxy, 12.7p, 3.0' x 1.6', Class: SA pec, RA: 14:03:25.0, 
         DEC:(-)06:04:10.

120X- NGC5426 and NGC5427 are both visible with direct vision.

220X- NGC5426 appears as an oval core that seems to be off-set a little to the
North and a faint oval halo weak along the East and Some overall mottling is
noted. NGC5427 is bright at 2.3' and PA;7.0*. There is a 15.3p star between the
two galaxies 54" distant from NGC5426 at PA:20* just visible as a fleeting
speck. I can hold it with averted vision.

120X- NGC5427 appears to be a round halo with a bright lobe to the West. 
The core is relatively small with a arm starting at the North of the core
spiraling outward c'cw. 

220-X- NGC5427's core is relatively small and bright with an arm starting at
the North of the core spiraling outward c'cw around to the South where it fades
out. The whole oval halo has bright/dark areas in a general haze. A real
teaser, just beyond the grasp of the 56cm under the present conditions. Better
seeing may be the answer. No other DSO's in the FOV.
