Description:
120X- NGC5440 appears as a faint round diffuse spot, almost star like.

220X- NGC5440 a0ppears as a faint small round core and a baely detectable halo. The core is difficult, but observable with direct vision. However the halo is decernable only with averted vision and the West ANSE is lost in the glare of 12.5 mag star that is superimposed on the Galaxy. No other DSO's are visible in the FOV.
