Site classification: Rural
Sky darkness: 6.0 <Limiting magnitude>
Seeing: 6 <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>

Instrument: 10" f/4.5 Dobsonian
Magnification: 72x, 77x, 128x
Filter(s): None
Object(s): NGC 507
Category: External galaxy.
Class:
Constellation: Psc
Data: mag 11.2 size 3.1' X 3.1'
Position: RA 01:24 DEC +33:15
Description:
A faint, round, uniform nebulosity. There is slight, gradual brightening
toward the core. Located approx. 5' SE of a fairly bright field star.
Found with averted vision at 77x, it did not bear magnification well, fading
into the background at higher power. Best seen at 72x-77x.
NOTE: Uranometria 2000.0 plots perhaps 2 dozen galaxies within 1.5 degrees
of NGC507. Sadly, except for NGC507 itself, detection of these objects
proved to be beyond my capability.
