star of Vmag=16.1, uranometria chart 58; discovered by Rosse in 1862;
ELCAT: OIII [496+501nm] = 17 x Hbeta [486nm].
RA/DE: 22h40m20s, +61°17'05" (2000.0)
Date and UT of observation: 26 October 1992, 20h00 UT
Location & latitude: La Clapiere Obs. (France, latN44 40 00, longE06 27 36)
Site classification: rural, alt.1650m (5500ft)
Limiting magnitude (visual in UMi): 6.1 (50% of the observing time
with averted vision)
Transparency (1 to 5 - best to worst): 1.5
Seeing (1 to 5 - best to worst): 3
Altitude of object above horizon: 73°
Moon up (phase?): no
Instrument: Coulter 445mm/17.5" F/4.5
Magnification:  145x
Filters used: UHC, OIII, Hbeta

Description: at 145x, small to medium sized PN, quite faint with
gradually decreasing surface brightness towards the edge (maybe
slightly elongated E-W?); about 32" in diameter; a mag.14 star is 15"
from the SW border.

I can provide a scanned drawing of NGC 7354 to anyone who can read
the binhex encoding of Eudora (for Mac); just mail me to try
(yann.pothier@fnac.net), it works quite often with other
configurations...
