Description:
At 342x this nice and close pair is fairly easily visible. Brighter and oval 
NGC 2992 is extended SW-NE (2x1’) and features a small bright core. The halo needs averted vision to be clearly seen. NGC 2993 is a bit fainter than its 
neighbor and shows a faint round 1’ halo around a small brighter core.
