Description:
NGC 2832 (11,5mag) appears as a bright slightly oval disk with brighter center
(elongated N-S). Attached to it is the almost star-like 14mag NGC 2831. The
15mag-companion NGC 2830 (an edge-on elongated NW-SE) was visible as a very
faint oval patch of light without detail (averted vision only). Other members
of Abell 779 escaped my eye as conditions were not good enough and I did not
have a good map.
