Description:
At 75x (24 mm Ultima, 41' field) M 46 was a huge, impressive, 20' cluster with 
numerous stars of varying magnitude from moderatley bright to the edge of
resolution.  These stars are scattered more or less evenly across the 20' area. 
PN NGC 2438 is very apparent on the cluster's north edge.  A magnificent pair!
