Description:
An elongated oval halo of uniform appearance, aligned NW-SE.  It brightens
to a bright, nearly stellar core.  Visible with averted vision at 80x.
Best seen at 133x-267x.  The fainter galaxy MCG+2-22-6, located in the same
267x (14') field and shown by the Digital Sky Survey image to be nearly in
contact with NGC2648, could not be identified.
