Description:
At 131x magnification Omega Centauri presents a magnificent view. It is difficult
to say how far it extends from its center but, at 244x the cluster does fill
the whole FOV of the eyepiece with hundreds of stars. The dense center looks
like innumerable little gemstones on a ball of silvery satin. Just N of the
center seems to be a “hole” with fewer stars extending about 2x3’.The cluster
is very dense but not as concentrated as M3.
