Description:
13,9 and 13magv, 0.9x0.5 and 1.1x0.9’. NGC4727 is the brighter and larger of
the close pair. At 342x it shows a slight brightening towards the center but,
no nucleus or bright core. It appears slightly oval and about 1’ in size. Its
neighbor 4724 is oval and has a fairly high SB. I could see a faint stellar
nucleus in its middle that is surrounded by the bright core and a small faint
halo. Size about 0.5x0.7’. Nice looking pair as the two components are very
different in appearance and the centers are only 50" apart!
