Description:
Beautiful globular cluster in Ophiucus, seen easily in
finder. Situated very close to its rival M 12, a
rather similar globular cluster. Not completely
resolved at 40x, because of notable central
condensation, but at 100x it was almost completely
resolved, with five notably brighter stars than other.
It was perfectly round, unlike its neighbour, with
much brighter core gradually fading out. There were
many stars scattered in its field of view, few of them
somewhat brighter. Sketch is available at the URL
