Description:
First light on homemade 6" f/8 dobsonian reflector with serta optics. Comparing view of Orion nebula under very moon lit skies to that of another homemade 8" f/5. Independently verified presence of E member of Trapezium group at the edge of visability with direct vision in the 6" at 120x.
8" scope revealed E member of Trapezium group steady and bright under direct vision at 100x
