Description:
NGC 6153 forms a beautiful 5-arcmin-trapezium with 3 bright stars. NE of the
planetary is an 8,2mag orange star, a blueish-white 9,8mag star to the N and an
11,3mag double star with equally bright components of of white and blue color.
The disk of the 6153 itself is blue, very bright and approx 25" diameter and a
slightly oval shape (N-S elongated). It features a darker center and I saw hints of a
dumbell shape similar to IC4406 with the W and E lobes of the planetary being
slightly brighter. Very impressive object! Magnification 342x.
