Constellation: Lyra
Data: mag size
Position: RA 19:c. 3 DEC c. +33:
Description:
x80 (12.5mm) gives the best overall resolution of the ring.
I have the whitest ring view with this. Can't see the center
star of course. At x100 (10mm) I do see the small star right
outside the ring, and the two "guide stars" to the NE and SE.
x100 power of a Kellner gives me a "weak neon sign" view of
the ring. So does x103 (9.7mm)Plössel. Even with ann eye relief
cup the view of the ring is not as good as x80. Wind turbulence
tonight makes the ring shake even more than it normally does.
