Description:
NGC541; Mag 12.1, Size 1.0'X 1.0', RA 01:25.5, DEC -01:22.5
A faint, uniform, round nebulous patch which shows no detectable brightening
toward the core. Located ~5' SW of NGC545/NGC547. Visible with averted vision
at 128x, it began to fade into the background at 257x.
NGC545; Mag 12.2, Size 2.0'X 1.0', RA 01:26, DEC -01:20
A uniform oval halo elongated NE-SW. It shows slight, gradual brightening
to a diffuse core. Located on the NW edge of NGC547. Visible with direct
vision at 77x, it was best seen at 257x.
NGC547; Mag 12.2, Size 1.0'X 1.0', RA 01:26, DEC -01:20.5
A uniform round halo which gradually brightens to a diffuse core. Located
on the SE edge of NGC545. Visible with direct vision at 77x, it was best
seen at 257x.
NOTE: Uranometria 2000.0 (2nd edition) plots several additional galaxies
inside of a 128x (34') field centered on NGC545/NGC547. Except for NGC541,
none could be seen.
