Location of site: Rolla, MO USA (Lat 37 57'N, Elev )
Site classification: Rural
Sky darkness: 7.1 <Limiting magnitude>
Seeing: <1-10 Seeing Scale (10 best)>
Moon presence: None - moon not in sky
Instrument: 10.1" f/4.5 Newtonian reflector
Magnification: 77x, 128x, 257x

Position: RA 01:27.5 DEC -01:53
Description:
A faint, uniform, round to slightly oval halo. It shows slight, gradual,
diffuse brightening toward the core. Visible with averted vision at 77x,
it was best seen at 128x. A wide pair of 8th and 9th magnitude stars
aligned NW-SE are located ~5' off the SE edge and point directly toward
the galaxy.
Note: While Uranometria 2000.0 (2nd edition) plots several additional
galaxies inside of a 128x (34') field centered on NGC564, none except
NGC564 itself could be seen.
