Description:
NGC693; Mag 12.4, Size 1.5'X 0.5', RA 01:50.5, DEC +06:09
A uniform oval halo elongated WNW-ESE. It shows gradual brightening to a
fairly bright, diffuse core. An 11th magnitude field star is located just
off the E. edge. NGC706 is located 20' NE. Visible with averted vision
at 77x, it bore magnification well and was best seen at 128x-257x.

NGC706; Mag 12.5, Size 1.5'X 1.0', RA 01:52, DEC +06:17.5
A uniform oval halo slightly elongated E-W. It gradually brightens to a
fairly bright, diffuse core. A 12th magnitude field star is located just
off the N. edge. NGC693 is located 20' SW. Four 10th and 11th magnitude
field stars arranged in the shape of a gentle arc aligned NE-SW are located
5' SE with the "bow" of the arc pointing directly toward the galaxy. Visible
