Description:
Detected fairly easily without filters, only the crescent shaped arc seen
distinctly with sharp boundaries. Averted vision reveled some structure, but
delicate filaments seen in photographs not discernable. Observed when directly
overhead on an excellent night. Binocular a great advantage with this object,
tried one eye only with OII filter, view far inferior to unfiltered through both
eyes (this is a true binocular scope, not a bino viewer). Much of the beauty of
this object is its setting in a very rich Milky Way field, close to several open
clusters.
