Description:
A faint round, to slightly oval nebulous patch of uniform appearance.  It
shows no detectable brightening toward the core.  A 12th magnitude field
star is located just off the E. edge.  NGC1253A which is plotted just to the
NE of the galaxy, could not be seen.  Visible with averted vision at 77x, it
was best seen at 128x.
