Description:
A faint, slightly oval nebulous patch aligned nearly E-W.  Of uniform
appearance, it shows no detectable brightening toward the core.  An 11th
magnitude field star is located just off the N. edge.  Visible with averted
vision at 128x, it was best seen at 193x-257x.

NGC980 (Mag. 13.0) located ~3' S. was seen ~25% of the time with averted
vision at 193x as a very faint, featureless, circular nebulous patch.
