Category: External galaxy.
Class: SAbc
Constellation: Vir
Data: mag 10.0 size 5.4 x 4.9
Position: RA 13:38 DEC -17:53
Description:
In Virgo, at ~ 7 ½ ° SE of Spica. The finging of this spiral is more than difficult, located in a “bright star desert” in the east portion of Virgo. The brightness of the object is very low (magv = 10,0). On the spot of NGC 5247, I perceive an object, stellar in appearance, visible only with averted vision. I confirmed the observation of NGC 5247 by not finding any star of magv similar in the surroundings of the galaxy with my Herald-Bobroff Astro-Atlas.
