Category: External galaxy.
Class: S0
Constellation: Vir
Data: mag 10.0 size 5.8 x 2.8
Position: RA 12:27 DEC 11:06
Description:
In Virgo, at ~ 1½° S of M87. In spite of several minutes of observation, this lenticular galaxy remains invisible with my instrument. Difficulty in observation of this galaxy comes from proximity from 2 stars from magv ~ 9 (HD 108438 and TYC 877-701-1) which seems to exceed the brightness of NGC 4429, whose magv is 10,0, at the limit of my instrument. If you obtain an image of this galaxy, you will just see with object star HD 108438. I have the impression that if these 2 stars were removed, it would be possible to observe the galaxy. The galaxies M84, M86 and M87 in the same FOV.
